Benchmarking means different things to different people. But in its simplest form, it is about improving ourselves by learning from others. By comparing activities and aspects of performance with those of similar businesses or service providers, benchmarking enables an organisation to identify performance gaps and seek out new ideas, as well as providing the momentum necessary to drive improvements.
